The Dolphin-linebacker-turned-trial-lawyer has two things on his mind: somebody stole $1.5 million from his favorite client, Sam Kazdoy- and someone has murdered Berto Zaldivar, an old buddy who changed careers from lawyering to drug smuggling. The cases seem unrelated until a twisted trail of evidence leads to one man - who has more on the line than even Jake can imagine. Along the way, theres Lila Summers - the breathtakingly beautiful windsurfer whos the expert at slashbacks.The action takes Jake from Miami across the Gulf Stream to Bimini and on to Maui where he learns lessons never taught neither on the football field nor in law school.
